This won’t be the first time I’m wishing I lived near a Chick-fil-A restaurant and after this post, it won’t be the last! Because there
isn’t is a location I know about in the five boroughs of NYC (at New York University, NYU) this was one freebie too good to be true so I had to head over to their website to find out more about it!
What You Should Know Before Going:
#CowAppreciationDay is an annual event celebrated at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country. On July 11th, 2014 (that’s a Friday, save the date!), if you visit your local “chikin” spot, dressed in full cow costume, you can claim a FREE meal! Use this handy restaurant locator to find an event nearest to you.
If you’d rather try to maintain some semblance of decency and still get free food, according to the website, if you show up in partial-costume, that still entitles you to a FREE entrée! Isn’t that cool?
And the same for your little calf–er, I mean child, too! They get to pick a free Kid’s Meal. Isn’t this a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your book-reading club, or your church Youth Group? If you need some moo-tivation for some creative ideas, download Chick-fil-A‘s really cool and complete Cow Startup PDF. You can even see how other families have celebrated #CowAppreciationDay–those pics are on the site too!
Now, I took some time to look around the Chick-fil-A website because as I admitted at the opening of this post, I don’t know much about this company, in fact, I was a tad bit suspicious as to why they’d give away all this free food. And why are there so many pictures of families on their website?
It turns out this company rocks! There are tons of family activities and cool downloads on this website! It would appear part of Chick-fil-A‘s core values is the family unit and they’re all about being apart of the community in a socially positive way. Plus, the cows that helped make this brand famous are all over social media! When you get a chance, check out their updates and Like their cause!
I could probably go on another hundred words or so about this promotion, that’s how cool I think it is. Instead, I’ll ask you to share this post with your Facebook News Feed and Twitter timeline? Who wouldn’t want to find FREE food today? Keep the good feeling going all the day long and it will come back to you. You’ll see.
(SOCIAL MEDIA TIP: Don’t forget to join the conversation on Twitter by using the hashtag: #CowAppreciationDay to keep up-to-date with all the online excitement leading up to this event!)
